The simplest addition to oral hygiene
With nupure probadent you can now easily extend your oral hygiene: with just one lozenge a day you can supply your oral cavity with the lactic acid bacterium Lactobacillus salivarius.

What exactly is oral flora?
Our oral cavity and throat are colonised by hundreds of microorganisms, the so-called oral flora. This includes over 700 types of bacteria, which form a first defence against invading and pathogenic germs in a delicate balance.

A diet high in sugar, stress, smoking or infections, but also a reduced saliva flow can lead to a strong increase in unwanted bacteria. The result: plaque forms, a dense coating of bacteria.

The bacterium Streptococcus mutans in particular forms a resistant biofilm on the teeth. By forming organic acids, it strongly attacks the tooth enamel, demineralises the tooth and thus leads to tooth decay. The concentration of Streptococcus mutans in the mouth is closely linked to the risk of tooth decay.

However, bad breath and frequent inflammation of the gums can also be a consequence.

Healthy oral flora supports the immune system
Impaired oral flora can not only lead to an increased risk of tooth decay and bad breath. Frequent inflammation caused by unwanted pathogens puts a strain on the immune system and, in the worst case, can also trigger serious secondary diseases. Oral streptococci are responsible for 50 - 70 % of all myocarditis by penetrating the vascular system via small lesions in the oral mucosa.

With vitamin D3
In addition to the lactic acid bacterium Lactobacillus salivarius, nupure probadent also contains vitamin D3, as vitamin D3 plays an important role in the mineralisation of teeth. Each lozenge contains 5 μg of vitamin D3.
