Our skin cells are two-thirds water, so hydration is absolutely key to ageless skin health. Aloe, comfrey, and jojoba are super soothing and calming against irritation from environmental stressors. Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) is reparative, vegetable glycerin attracts moisture to your cells, and betaine forms hydration crystals on your skin, keeping it plump and quenched. This moisturizer took over two years and 70 versions in the making.

Moisturizers essentially consist of humectants, emollients, and occlusives. Humectants bring the moisture and hold it in your cells, emollients soften and nourish, and occlusives protect by sealing all the moisture in with a physical lipid barrier. This lotion is high on the humectants and emollients but doesn't have much in the way of occlusives, which means you can layer it without buildup. Plus, it's the absolute perfect accompaniment to facial oils - use the lotion first and your oils over the top as your occlusive layer.
