In the hands of another creator, this statement might be an apology. For Alessandro Gualtieri, however, it is a mission statement: Blamage may be a testament to mistakes and failure, but the result is as intoxicating as any of its predecessors in the now complete Nasomatto line. Inspired by legends of classic fragrances that gained their unique character through mistakes in the design process, Gualtieri randomly selected four key (and unknown) ingredients blindfolded. The perfume was then painstakingly assembled, a process that took Gualtieri around the world and reportedly almost to the limit of endurance (and which will be featured in the upcoming documentary "The Nose - Searching For Blamage").
