Memo Paris Kedu

Kedu, nicknamed "the Garden of Java," is a plain surrounded by volcanoes in Indonesia, where the soil, enriched by volcanic ash, is considered sacred. Here, glowing green palms, wild rhinoceroses, gigantic flowers in various colors, prehistoric buffalo, and pilgrims with hunched backs coexist. Shrouded in mist, the outlines of the Borobudur temple complex can be seen in the distance. Legend has it that one can cleanse their soul by throwing sesame seeds into the smoke of the blazing fires in one of the temple's domes. The smoke from the burnt sesame then rises to the sky, and the coarse accent of the seeds—a symbol of longevity—ignites the sparkling freshness of the grapefruit.
