It was during his journey through Morocco that Christophe Raynaud visited the workshop of a leather goods manufacturer, where he noticed an intense and typical smell of leather. Passionately captivated, he observed the meticulous work of the craftsman on a vibrant red leather. The darkness of the room was in stark contrast to the bright light outside. It was as if inspiration struck him to create a harmony of leather and raspberry between shadow and light. For Cuir Grenat, the perfumer wanted the scents to evoke a tactile sensation. Both raspberry and leather are seen and smelled in the same way; they are aromas and fragrances that possess unexpected contrasts and similarities.
