Lactasan capsules for the gut. With Lactasan, Spenglersan GmbH has developed a product that draws on the approach of physician and researcher Dr. Carl Spengler. Over 100 years ago, the doctor worked with lactic acid and citric acid as a basis for cell regeneration. As a bacteriologist, Spengler was aware that gut health is governed by good bacteria that require an acidic environment to thrive. In addition to right-handed lactic acid and apple cider vinegar, Lactasan contains zinc bisglycinate to support kidney function and care for the intestinal mucosa. Calcium is used for intracellular deacidification. The long-chain inulin from artichoke has the highest degree of polymerization among all examined inulins, making it the most efficient of the inulins. Lactasan serves as a prebiotic to prepare the gut flora with right-handed lactic acid, apple cider vinegar, and the long-chain carbohydrate inulin as "food" for the good bacteria in the gut, along with Intestisan, which contains seven different bacterial strains from the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium for the regenerative colonization of the gut, each at a concentration of 10^9 and microencapsulated to be resistant to stomach acid. Prebiotics are defined as food components that humans cannot digest well. They thus pass undigested through the small intestine into the large intestine, where they serve as an energy source for the gut flora.
