Heat lamps, whether infrared or dark heaters, should be installed at a minimum distance of 60 cm from bedding and surrounding walls. In small barns, overheating can occur quickly due to heat lamps. A well-ventilated barn is healthier for chickens than an overly heated one. Humid, warm air often leads to respiratory problems.
