Comfort Shield MDS 10 ml Eye Drops

Comfort Shield eye drops are a biomimetic lubrication solution for the cornea of the eye. They contain only substances that are naturally present in the eye and are free from preservatives, making them very well tolerated.

Due to their special flow properties, Comfort Shield eye drops are superior to gels. Tears change their viscosity under mechanical stress caused by blinking. Comfort Shield mimics this behavior: during blinking, a low viscosity allows for rapid spreading without blurred vision, while a high viscosity ensures long-lasting stability when the eye is open.

The eye drops promote a stable tear film and improve wettability. Comfort Shield eye drops contain Hylan A, a cross-linked derivative of hyaluronic acid. Hylan A is a natural substance that is broken down by the body. It supports wound healing and stabilizes the epithelial barrier, thereby stabilizing the tear film and enhancing wettability.

The eye drops are particularly recommended for prolonged computer work, long driving, contact lens wear, dry eyes, corneal lesions, dry air, and hormone-related changes.
