Comfort Shield is a biomimetic wetting solution for the cornea with special flow properties and is preservative-free. Comfort Shield contains Hylan A, a cross-linked derivative of hyaluronic acid. Hylan A is a natural substance that is broken down by the body. It stabilizes the tear film and improves wettability. Additionally, it supports wound healing and stabilizes the epithelial barrier. Comfort Shield is particularly suitable for corneal discomfort caused by prolonged computer use, extended work and driving at night, as well as wearing contact lenses (the wetting solution can be applied to the eyes while wearing contact lenses) and during menopause. Furthermore, its use can help prevent red eyes when swimming in chlorinated water.
