The innovative CeraPlus™ skin protection of this two-part system is suitable for all skin types and specifically designed for stoma appliances with pasty to liquid output. It is particularly recommended for the prevention of irritations and for compromised skin. CeraPlus™ contains ceramides, a natural component of the outer skin layer. They form a natural barrier and help to retain or restore the skin's moisture, ensuring an intact and healthy skin appearance around the stoma. A convex skin protection is mainly recommended for stomas that are at or below skin level. The curvature creates even pressure around the stoma to prevent it from protruding. This effectively protects the surrounding skin from infiltration. The integrated adhesive border is breathable and skin-friendly. It flexibly adapts to individual body shapes, providing maximum comfort and added security. The base plate features a graspable ring that reduces pressure on the abdominal wall during bag attachment and connects both parts. An audible "click" signals that the system is connected. The bag change can be performed separately from the base plate change.
