The cherry pit bag is an ancient Swiss home remedy, also known as a dry hot water bottle. Its effectiveness is based on the fact that the dry cherry pits are heated and then release this heat to the affected body area. Additionally, it does not cool down as quickly as a conventional water-filled hot water bottle.

The cherry pit bag can also be used as a cold compress by cooling it in the freezer or refrigerator. It is also suitable as a support for pregnant women and for finger and foot massages, particularly to restore or activate the mobility of the limbs through targeted massage.
