Product details
Intimate care is important, but too much care can be harmful to this sensitive area, which is warm and moist. This creates ideal conditions for bacteria when the female vagina cannot defend itself. However, many women are unaware that their vaginal flora has a self-protection and self-cleaning program as long as the pH level is below 4.5. The pH level undergoes constant hormonal fluctuations throughout a woman's life and can temporarily change, for example, during antibiotic therapy. If the vaginal flora becomes less acidic, it no longer provides adequate protection against pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. The female intimate area is one of the most sensitive regions of the female body. Therefore, special care should be taken with intimate hygiene. Experts recommend that even lukewarm water alone may be sufficient. Nevertheless, there are many different products available in drugstores for the intimate area, as women want to feel fresh and fragrant. There is nothing wrong with this, but overly intensive hygiene can weaken the important protective layer in the intimate area. Many soaps and shower gels have a pH level that is suitable for normal skin. However, this pH level is too high for the intimate region and disrupts the vaginal environment. Those who want to maintain hygiene in the intimate area without giving up soap should ideally opt for a gentle wash foam with lactic acid to preserve the acidic environment of the vagina.

Instructions for use | A vaginal suppository is inserted deep into the vagina once a day, preferably lying on your back with your legs slightly raised. The duration of use is generally 5 - 7 days. To regularly maintain a normal pH value in the vagina, e.g. in women with a tendency to vaginal infections, GYNIAL ACTIV Lactic Acid Vaginal Suppositories can also be used two to three times a week over a longer period of time without hesitation. For bacterial vaginal infections, 1 suppository before going to bed is recommended for 10 days (initial dose) and then a maintenance dose of 1 suppository every 3rd day. Safe to use - during pregnancy and menstruation. However, if there are signs of a vaginal infection during pregnancy, you should consult a doctor. |
