Jean-Claude Ellena comes from a family of perfumers in Grasse and was introduced to the art of fragrance creation as a teenager. He is self-taught and describes his creations as "poetry of memory." Everyday scents – waxed floors, clean sheets, skin, an old sweater – are among his greatest inspirations. His signature is simple, minimalist, and modern.
