In 1752, King Frederik V of Denmark commissioned the Flora Danica, which was meant to include all the flowers and plants of the kingdom to bring the knowledge of the country's nature closer to the people. Completing the work took more than 120 years in total. In the end, over 3,200 color illustrations were printed in 54 volumes. The Flora Danica is still regarded as a remarkable endeavor in the world of art and botanical research. It serves as the inspiration for our perfume brand.
