Medical product for inhalation to gently enhance secretion mobilization due to osmotic effects in diseases of the lower respiratory tract associated with mucus consolidation (e.g., acute bronchitis, acute bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis) and as a carrier solution for the inhalation of beta-sympathomimetics and anticholinergics.
It promotes the self-cleansing of the mucous membranes by activating cilia and actively dissolving the consolidated mucus. Coughing up the mucus is facilitated.
The hypertonic 4% inhalation solution is also suitable as a carrier solution for the inhalation of medications; see the instructions in the user manual.
Natural Emser salt consists of more than 30 minerals and trace elements that characterize the salt. In addition to sodium and chloride ions, minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, fluoride, and sulfate are included. The largest proportion consists of bicarbonate ions, which is why a solution of natural Emser salt is slightly alkaline (pH 8-10).
