It emits exactly the right amount of UVA and UVB light rays in the ultraviolet light spectrum needed for perfect skin tanning. The UV emitters built into the tanning device provide an improved composition of UV radiation compared to sunlight. The intensity of the tanning UVA radiation is significantly higher than that of natural sunlight, while the harmful UVB component is reduced to a fraction of the sun's share. Typically, one tans faster, healthier, and without sunburn compared to natural sunlight. The UV light also stimulates the production of vitamin D, which is often insufficiently produced in northern latitudes due to a lack of sunlight.
