Demeter Yuzu Marmalade Perfume by Demeter was inspired by a trip to South Korea. Launched in 2018, the fragrance combines Yuzu, a sharp Asian citrus fruit, with the sweetness of marmalade. Most fragrances feature a complex blend of top, heart, and base notes. However, Demeter's perfumes are different. Each has a simple, linear composition that does not change over time. Many of these scents contain a single ingredient meant to evoke a specific memory. Founders Christopher Gable and Christopher Brosius named their company after the Greek goddess of grain and harvest. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the brand offers fragrances reminiscent of harvest fruits, including peach and raspberry. Other perfumes smell like desserts, such as vanilla ice cream, or nature, like rain. The brand even offers scents that smell like turpentine and leather. The company has created hundreds of perfumes and has expanded into other products like scented candles and body lotions.
