Chrisana Nattokinase

Nattokinase is an enzyme that is isolated from fermented soybeans. It is considered a natural blood thinner and can therefore be used for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Initially, it was believed that Nattokinase belonged to the enzyme group of kinases, hence the name. However, it was later discovered that the enzyme belongs to the group of proteases. Proteases break down proteins and decompose them into smaller building blocks.
