Caricol-Gastro contains the valuable ingredients of a patented organic oat preparation as well as Caricol, a patented extract from tree-ripened organic papayas. Oats are known in our regions as a traditional remedy for gastrointestinal inflammation and irritation. The anti-inflammatory and soothing properties of oats are attributed to Avenanthramides – effective polyphenols that have proven to be particularly effective. In vitro studies have shown that Avenanthramides inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators such as IL-6 and IL-8, thereby quickly and sustainably calming the irritated gastric mucosa. Papaya is considered a more alkaline fruit among tropical fruits. Its low acidity makes it particularly well tolerated. Papaya contains all essential amino acids, large amounts of calcium, magnesium, and potassium, as well as essential fatty acids and bioflavonoids. Several in vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated that the extract made from papaya has anti-inflammatory, cell-protective, and cell-renewing effects. Its high antioxidant capacity strengthens the mucosal barrier and protects it from harmful attacks.
