Calvin Klein was inspired by his marriage to his assistant Kelly Rector for this fragrance, Eternity for Women. To celebrate this union, Calvin gifted his wife Kelly a beautiful wedding ring, originally a gift from the Prince of Windsor to his beloved Princess. On a simple ring covered in diamonds, the word Eternity was engraved, symbolizing everlasting love and devotion. This idea continues to be embodied in the romantic scent of Eternity. In 1989, this perfume was awarded Best Women's Fragrance by Calvin Klein.
