Balmain Ivoire

The French design house Balmain and young creative director Olivier Rousteing attempted a reinterpretation of the Balmain classic "Ivoire de Balmain" from 1979 in 2012. The modern version respects the heritage of the popular fragrance from the 80s while presenting its richness in a new, fresh variant. Timeless and elegant, Ivoire opens with top notes of mandarin, galbanum, and violet leaf. This loose combination leads into a full and rich heart note, which is primarily floral in inspiration. Rose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang entice with delicate yet dense notes, while iris rounds off the heart note. Cedar and vetiver provide a woody undertone in the base note, which is warmed by rich vanilla and patchouli.
