The Other Side of Oud is inspired by Prince Hussein's mission for an independent Arab state, for which he had to directly seek recognition from King George V, and the typical cardamom coffee from the Middle East. Perfumers envisioned this oud as a wood infusion full of vibrant, enveloping notes. It opens with a spicy cocktail of warm cinnamon, fresh cardamom, and zesty ginger. The heart reveals a blooming oud that blends with a bouquet of geraniums and coffee blossoms. The sillage is lively like roasted coffee and gently transitions into vanilla absolute. Oud, a pungently aromatic resin also known as agarwood, has been used in Arab countries for centuries and often forms the base for bakhoor, a mixture of fragrance oil with myrrh and frankincense.
