Opus VII is based on a wild swirl of spices and rare resins, reflecting on how seductive knowledge can be. An intensely green opening of sticky galbanum and dazzlingly fresh cardamom and nutmeg blooms into a brazen leather. Nutty fenugreek, wild smoky rays of cypriol, and the animalistic call of costus and ambergris support the audacious leather centerpiece, while a froth of capricious muscone, sandalwood, and frankincense creates a harmonious and fleshy finish. By evoking a sense of peace after a robust green opening, Opus VII becomes a lesson in sapiosexuality, subtly teaching that the seduction of the mind is more powerful than that of the eyes.
