About Ærlig
The name "ærlig" - the Danish word for "honest" - reflects the philosophy of the young Danish label, which stands for natural fragrances with a special focus on transparency, allergy-friendliness and sustainability. Founder Lis Hansen has fulfilled her heart's desire with the creation of her fragrances. Through her experience as a product developer in the hair and skincare sector, and as a laboratory and environmental technician, she was familiar with the 26 fragrances classified as allergenic by the EU Cosmetics Directive. She decided to create fragrances that avoid these potential allergens. In 2018, after two years of development, Lisa launched three naturally sustainable fragrances with minimalist names in summer 2020. The fragrances do not contain the 26 fragrance allergens declared by the EU and are also sustainable. Natural resources are used responsibly and sparingly during production and packaging.
The eau de parfums from Ærlig are inspired by Nordic clarity and feminine aesthetics. The sophisticated packaging, luxurious bottles, and unique fragrance creations are characterized by their simple elegance.
