ActiMaris® Nasal Spray is a hypertonic, alkaline-ionized seawater solution containing sea salt (1.2%), sodium oxychlorite (0.04%), and hypochlorous acid (0.004%), and it works on a bio-physical basis. The sea salt and oxychlorite provide an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect.

ActiMaris® Nasal Spray moisturizes and cleanses upon contact with the mucous membrane. At the same time, it supports the physiological environment at the surface of the mucous membrane through its composition of minerals, salts, and trace elements. Due to its hypertonicity/hyperosmolarity, the solution has a decongestant effect, dissolves deposits and nasal secretions, and clears nasal breathing. Its cleansing action and secretion dissolution improve well-being and alleviate typical discomfort associated with the indicated conditions. ActiMaris® Nasal Spray is also gentle on cells while being efficient and quick in its antimicrobial action. The sea salt and oxychlorite are natural preserving agents that ensure long stability of the ActiMaris® Nasal Spray solution.

ActiMaris® cleanses and cares for the mucous membrane, providing moisturizing, decongestant, mucus-dissolving, and antimicrobial effects, supports local defense mechanisms, and promotes granulation and epithelialization processes in cases of mucous membrane lesions.

Instructions for use
With the head bent slightly forwards, the spray reaches the middle and lower nasal passage, which means that a larger mucous membrane area is reached and therefore a better effect is achieved. Adults and children from 2 years of age: Recommended dosage of ActiMaris® NASAL Spray: 2 sprays in each nostril 4 - 5 times a day. Infants (under 2 years of age) and babies: 1 - 2 sprays in each nostril 2 - 3 times a day as required. When using ActiMaris® NASAL Spray, small children and infants should not be placed on their backs but on their sides. on their side. The head should be slightly raised. Always consult a paediatrician before use with small children and infants. For severe endonasal infections and mucosal coatings, ActiMaris® NASAL Spray can be combined with ActiMaris® Wound Gel 2 - 3 times a day. At the recommended dosage, the content of 20 ml (100 μl per spray) is sufficient for a therapy of between 7 and 10 days (approx. 200 sprays). An overdose is not possible when using ActiMaris® NASAL Spray, nor is there any systemic effect. The nasal solution breaks down into water, salt and oxygen after contact and reaction with the mucous membrane. Similarly, addiction / habituation to the nasal solution is not possible. Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
