Does anyone work with an external portable monitor? Digitec doesn't seem to have any portable monitors? Does anyone have any recommendations? I can only find stuff at ama or in German

So if you mean a real monitor, you can operate it via HDMI output on your DJI controller, but due to portability and lack of power (unless you have a mobile generator) this really makes little sense. An alternative would be an iPad that you could plug into the controller or you wait until DJI releases the new CrystalSky display. But it will probably cost around 800 francs.
