The game 'Kalaha' has been around for more than 500 years and is popular with both adults and children. It is designed for two players, each having six pits in front of them. Initially, six stones are placed in each pit. The stones must be distributed counterclockwise from one pit to the next on the game board, with only one stone per pit. A player's Kalaha – the large pit at the left and right ends – can be filled, while the opponent's Kalaha is skipped. Players take turns, and the game pieces move from pit to pit. Tactics and skill are required, as simply pushing the stones is not enough. The goal of the game is to have the most stones collected in one's own Kalaha at the end.
