Product details

Today, mini transporters based on passenger car platforms enjoy a pleasing number of units sold – the trend just started gaining momentum 40 years ago. In 1982, VW made the VW Golf I the first classic janitorial service vehicle or practical courier vehicle. Although the career of this model series had already begun four years earlier in North America, it was only with the launch in November 1982 that the pickup was also produced for the European market at the Volkswagen subsidiary TAS in Sarajevo. Today, there are many enthusiasts for these agile youngtimer pickups, from which WIKING selected the mint green model. The body features a mint green flatbed with a clear coat finish, while the chassis and interior are in black. The rims are also in mint green. The rear side has the black lettering "Volkswagen" and red printed taillights. The front headlights are hand-painted in silver, and the VW logo on the grille is also silvered.
