Product details

Just two years before the end of the Manta A's production, Opel made a spectacular move. In March 1974, the Manta GT/E was added to the model range, delivering a true sports car with a 105 hp engine that could reach an impressive top speed of 188 km/h. At first glance, the Manta GT/E appeared sportily enhanced – the side stripes and hood design gave the popular coupe of the early seventies character. Due to its only one-year production run, only 5,252 units of the GT/E were sold, with a purchase price of 12,500 DM. The body was painted silver, the chassis was black, and the interior featured a black dashboard and steering wheel. Silver rims and aluminum-silver painted bumpers complemented the look. The hood was printed in solid black. The side window trim included door handles, the Manta logo, and decorative stripes in black. The front window trim featured black windshield wipers and a black rear window edge. A silver Opel logo adorned the grille, and the rear panel was black. The front headlights were hand-painted.
