Product details
This Hanoverian was a first production model after the war. The typical cab with its distinctive horizontal grille bars gave the Hanomag L 28 its character. WIKING designs the quick delivery truck in a prototype-accurate window gray color scheme with a purplish-red chassis. Introduced at the Brussels Motor Show in 1950, the cab-over model stood out with its wide front featuring integrated headlights. Initially designed for a payload of 1.5 tons, later versions followed with payloads of up to 3 tons – the diesel engines initially had 50, later 65 and 70 horsepower. By 1951, the export share was already at 47% – deliveries were made to 48 countries. The best-selling Hanomag diesel was, of course, the flatbed truck, which WIKING had already tackled at the beginning of the 1950s. Back then, it was an industrial order from Hanomag that resulted in a still unglazed but nonetheless beautiful 1:50 model. The cab and flatbed are window gray, the interior and steering wheel are dust gray. The chassis, cardan part, and rims are purplish-red. The tarpaulin is quartz gray. The cab door handles are silvered. The front headlights are silvered. Silver grille slats and purplish-red fender design. Window frames are silvered. The front features a silver inscription "Hanomag.".
