Krupp delivered lime to building material dealers. At a time when the Krupp 806 was operating in the colors of Walhalla Kalk, the company was still independent. It developed new business areas in the aerated concrete and dry mortar industries. On September 1, 2015, the Belgian family-owned company Lhoist, one of the world's largest lime manufacturers, acquired the company shares and integrated Walhalla Kalk into the Rheinkalk/Lhoist Western Europe division. With the Krupp 806 series, which was built between 1964 and 1968, Walhalla Kalk had a reliable truck type in its fleet. At that time, the entire industry was talking about Krupp, as the front-steering cabs introduced then were innovative and convincing. However, there were technical issues. While Krupp had long relied on the two-stroke engine, which became famous through the Krupp Titan, the truck manufacturer made a turnaround at the IAA in 1963. From then on, until the end of Krupp trucks in 1968, they focused on the four-stroke engine from Cummins Engine Company in the USA, which was built under license in Essen.
