Product details

This unjustly forgotten rebound game traces its origins back to the Basque "Pelota" (where two players hit a rubber ball against a wall with a bandaged or bare hand). Jokari does not require a wall and spares the hands: the ball is attached to a base with a 5-meter-long rubber band and is returned using a beech wood paddle. Although originally designed for two players, it can also be played alone. In the 1940s and 50s, it gained popularity (among other things, under the pun-laden name "cable tennis") particularly in England and the USA. Today, the game remains very popular, especially in France, where it has almost reached cult status.
