Vilac - A Fusion of Craftsmanship and Toys

The story begins in 1911 in the village of Moirans-en-Montagne, better known as the French capital of toys. Narcisse Villet opened a small workshop here, which he named Maison Villet. Here, quality wooden crafts and toys were diligently made and produced. The love for craftsmanship and toys has remained in the family for generations, and it continued to be a smaller family production in France over the years. In 1979, when the family was offered a workshop, the production possibilities improved. The year 1985 marks the acquisition of the Vilac company by Hervé Halgand, who maintained the tradition of turned wooden toys and painted them gently. It went so well that Hervé Halgand purchased the oldest doll company in France in 1995. However, the Vilac company continued to develop while preserving its culture and traditions. Over the last 20 years, Vilac has established itself in the international market and won several awards for its fantastic toys.
