Prototype: Electric high-speed train EC 250 as RABe 501 Giruno of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). 1 end car A (Bt1), 2nd class. 1 intermediate car F (B7), 2nd class, with accessible entrances for disabled passengers and pantograph. 1 intermediate car G (WR6), with a restaurant area. 1 intermediate car H (A5), 1st class, with accessible entrances for disabled passengers and pantograph. 1 end car L (At2), 1st class. Operates as a multi-system train between Zurich Airport and Basel, as well as crossing the Alps through the Gotthard Base Tunnel to Milan. Approved for operation in Germany and Austria as well. Current operational status as of 2021. Model: 5-part basic set. The restaurant car G and the two intermediate cars F and H arranged on the left and right are firmly coupled together via Jacob's bogies. Equipped with a digital decoder and extensive sound and light functions. Regulated high-performance drive with a flywheel centrally installed in the restaurant car. All 4 axles in both Jacob's bogies on the left and right of the restaurant car are driven via cardan shafts. Traction tires. Driver's cabs of the end cars with interior fittings. Direction-dependent power supply via the respective front end car. Guide mechanism in the Jacob's bogies. Direction-dependent changing three-light front signal and two red tail lights, conventionally operated, digitally switchable. Switchable to a white tail light (Swiss light change). Additional separately switchable light functions. Interior lighting built in as standard. Interior lighting is powered through the continuous electrical connection of the entire train. Additionally, driver's cab and control desk lighting can each be switched digitally. All lighting with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. Pantographs on intermediate cars F and H can each be raised and lowered as a separate digital function. Scaled replica. Minimum radius of operation 360 mm. Length of the basic set approximately 112 cm.
