The Traxxas certified and iD-equipped LiPo batteries are designed to deliver maximum performance on demand. The Traxxas iD connector system ensures efficiency, ease of use, and high current handling. With iD-equipped Traxxas LiPo batteries, the balance connectors are integrated into the Traxxas high-current connector, eliminating fragile balance wires and connectors, as well as the need for external balance boards. With today’s brushless motors and high-density, high-discharge rate battery packs, using a poorly designed connector is like attaching a garden hose to a fire hydrant. While the pressure is there, the flow is choked by resistance. The patented Traxxas high-current connector flows electricity like a fire hose, with voltage loss due to current draw resistance being virtually zero. The Traxxas connector is a technically advanced solution for real-world use. Large, textured surfaces on the connector bodies are easy to grip, and the clever reverse polarity protection makes it nearly impossible to plug in incorrectly. With insulated wire connections, the extra steps for installing heat shrink tubing are eliminated. Gold-plated copper terminals with large, spring-loaded contact surfaces ensure a perfect connection every time. Even after thousands of uses, Traxxas high-current connectors maintain their precise feel and incredibly low resistance. The semi-rigid construction of the Traxxas iD-equipped Power Cell LiPo packs uses a unique construction method that results in a solid, robust, and compact pack. This allows Power Cell LiPos to offer greater capacity in a given size, and the user can easily monitor the condition of their battery.
