About Trauffer:

In 1938, Alfred Trauffer began carving cows and other animals in simple, concrete shapes, while Rosa Trauffer-Michel painted them. The greatest reward for their work was the shining eyes of children.

The children's dream factory they founded still exists today. Larger, with many more employees and a much wider selection of wooden toys. But still in the quaint Hofstetten near Brienz, Trauffer continues to produce the animals in the same way and upholds the same values: handmade, high-quality, sustainable. The shining eyes of children continue to drive Trauffer's employees today. And parents marvel at how much joy and satisfaction their little ones find in playing for hours with analog toys.
