All farm animals from Trauffer Holzspielwaren are handmade in the Bernese Oberland with an extra helping of love. Made from certified FSC lime wood from sustainable Swiss sources and with paints that are completely safe for children. Our products are processed extra robustly so that they are not only suitable as a beautiful souvenir, but also for children to play with.

About Trauffer:

In 1938, Alfred Trauffer began carving cows and other animals in simple, concrete shapes, and Rosa Trauffer-Michel painted them. The most beautiful reward for their work were the beaming children's eyes.

The children's dream factory he founded back then still exists today. Larger, with many more employees and a much larger selection of wooden toys. But, still in tranquil Hofstetten near Brienz, Trauffer makes the animals in the same way and lives by the same values: handmade, high quality, sustainable. The beaming eyes of children are what still drive Trauffer's employees today. And parents who are amazed at how much imagination their little ones use to keep them happy and satisfied for hours on end with analogue toys.
