About Trauffer:

In 1938 Alfred Trauffer began carving cows and other animals in simple, concrete shapes, and Rosa Trauffer-Michel painted them. The most beautiful reward for their work were the beaming children's eyes.

The children's dream factory he founded back then still exists today. Larger, with many more employees and a much larger selection of wooden toys. But, still in tranquil Hofstetten near Brienz, Trauffer makes the animals in the same way and lives the same values: handmade, high quality, sustainable.
