Frank Kauffmann (*1967) grew up in Toggenburg, outside the village, surrounded by cows and pigsties with endless space to play. He inherited the ability to weave various threads from his father, a textile engineer - particularly storytelling threads. He lives with his family in Zurich. For Baeschlin, he also writes the crime series "S.O.S. Svalbard." Patrick Mettler (*1975 in Ibach SZ) trained as a primary school teacher before working as a graphic designer, web designer, and illustrator from 2002 onwards. Mettler lives with his family in Benken SG. Together with Roger Rhyner, he created the character of the stinky billy goat Charly. For Baeschlin, he has illustrated several picture books, including "Murmeli's Big Flight" and "Little Mercury and His Friends.".
