In 1912, Bernhard Hermann founded his family business in Sonneberg, which he named BE HA after his initials, and began manufacturing teddy bears and dolls. In 1948, he and his sons relocated the company to Hirschaid near Bamberg, which is now the company's headquarters. This marked the beginning of the company's rise to become one of the most renowned in its industry, and the business was transformed into the Teddy-Plüschspielwarenfabrik Gebr. Hermann KG, with the founder's three sons as partners. The current company, Teddy-Hermann GmbH, is led by Margit Drolshagen. Traudel Mischner-Hermann is responsible for the design and quality of the collector bears made in Germany. The granddaughters continue the tradition of the family business by producing high-quality teddy bears and plush toys.
