In 1912, Bernhard Hermann founded his family business in Sonneberg, which he named after his initials BE HA, and began producing teddy bears and dolls. In 1948, he moved the company to Hirschaid near Bamberg with his sons, where it is still located today. This marked the beginning of the company's ascent to becoming one of the most well-known in its industry, and the business was transformed into the Teddy-Plush Toy Factory Gebr. Hermann KG, with the founder's three sons as partners. The current company, Teddy-Hermann GmbH, is led by Margit Drolshagen. Traudel Mischner-Hermann is responsible for the design and quality of the collector bears made in Germany. The granddaughters continue the tradition of the family business by producing high-quality teddy bears and plush toys.
