The Japanese GT Auto Championship was launched in 1993 and has gained increasing popularity among motorsport fans in Japan. During the 1995 season, Toyota participated in this event with a race-tuned version of the well-known Supra GT. The body of the Supra incorporated the latest racetrack technology, resulting in improved aerodynamics. Additional air intakes, a large rear spoiler, and oversized fenders gave the Toyota Supra GT its distinctive appearance. An outstanding performance in the 1995 season was achieved by Sekiya and Krumm, who drove the Castrol Tom’s Supra.
