Florence in the 14th century – you are rival families trying to become as influential and notorious as possible. Not only in the city itself but also in the hell beneath it. Deliver the souls of sinners to the underworld and utilize your connections with unscrupulous figures in the city. Help the damned cross the river Acheron and guide them to their predetermined circle of hell to earn shame points. But beware of the guardians of hell: Cerberus, Medusa, the Minotaur, and others may assist you, but if others win their favor, they will turn against you.

With each new soul that enters hell, Dante approaches purgatory on his descent, where his journey ends. The player who has sent the most souls to eternal torment in a circle of hell earns shame points. Collect as many as possible to win the game as the most disgraceful family.
