The heroes are still pursuing the Cult of the Devourer and set off to a distant, uncharted star system, where they discover the ruins of an ancient city floating in the atmosphere of a gas giant.

As they explore the ruins, they encounter the degenerated descendants of a highly advanced species that once controlled the lost superweapon the heroes seek. Through the legends and superstitions of this primitive people, the heroes can find clues to the location of the superweapon and learn how to unleash its power - within an impossibly large megastructure that the Cult of the Devourer wishes to claim!
