They are protected against bending and are robust enough for normal household use. The Sportime Hurricane kicker rods are perfectly straight and have a chrome coating. The inner walls of the rods are made of 2.2 mm steel. In testing laboratories, these rods withstand 8 hours of salt spray exposure. The kicker rods have a diameter of 15.8 mm, commonly referred to as 16 mm rods. Typically, foosball sliding bearings have a diameter of 16 mm, which is why the kicker rods are 0.2 - 0.3 mm thinner, allowing them to run in the foosball table bearings with sufficient grip but minimal friction. The rods have 4 mm holes for attaching the foosball figures. The holes are precisely drilled, accurately, and parallel through the center of the rods. This allows the screws for the foosball figures to be easily inserted through the rods, ensuring the figures stand perfectly side by side. Regarding the position/distance of the drill holes, Sportime adheres to the German foosball tournament standards. The Sportime kicker rods fit all major foosball tables.
