Product details
As its name suggests, the red deer has a reddish coat. Male specimens have particularly large antlers.
Fawns live well protected in herds and are also well camouflaged in the forest due to the white spots on their backs. Since they need to run quickly to escape predators, deer are equipped with long legs. Male deer use their antlers during the mating season for dominance battles. During this time, they also grow a mane, which consists of thick fur and makes them appear more intimidating. Red deer live between ten and twenty years, depending on whether they are in captivity or in the wild.
