Schleich Komodo dragon

The Komodo dragon lives exclusively on a few islands in Indonesia. It can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh over 70 kg. Komodo dragons hunt during the day and sometimes even take down wild boars. The hunting of such large prey is made possible by a venom produced in their lower jaw, which causes shock and can lead to the death of the hunted animals days later. However, Komodo dragons do not only feed on freshly killed prey, but also largely on carrion.
