Tony Longhurst was a prominent figure in Australian touring car racing and BMWs during the 1980s and 90s. He shared this car with motorcycle and motorsport legend Johnny Cecotto for the 1992 Bathurst 1000. In the race, the brave little BMW M3 with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine achieved an impressive fourth place, behind two powerful Nissan R32 Skylines and a very fast RS500. An incredible achievement for a car that gives away so much power! While this M3 is always a race winner on its home track, its iconic livery and great handling make it a fantastic addition to your Scalextric garage.
