The size, softness, and weight of the original dolls convey the feeling of a real child. Studies have shown that the dolls have a calming effect on elderly individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

The dolls are 50 cm tall and weigh 1,000 g. The original dolls are made from 100% polyester fleece and filled with 100% recycled polyester. They are designed to be machine washable at 60 degrees to meet the demands of the care sector.

What makes Rubens Barn so unique is the pleasant and happy feeling when Anna, Olivia, or Jonathan is held in your arms. We believe that our slogan Handmade Happiness fits Rubens Barn perfectly. "Barn" means "children" in Swedish, making the brand name "Rubens Barn" easier to understand for our dolls.

Our company philosophy is to bring joy and satisfaction to our customers through unique design and the highest quality. The first six dolls from the Rubens Barn Original series were designed in 1996.

Our company, Design Rubens Sweden AB, was founded in 1998, and since then, Teruko Wahlström has been the managing director. All products are tested according to the required safety standards in the respective country where they are sold, EN 71 in Europe, and ASTM and CE standards in the USA.
