Train set 1 "Arlberg Express" featuring three express coaches from the Austrian Federal Railways and a luggage car from the French State Railways. It consists of a dining car, type WRmz, two compartment cars of 1st/2nd class, type ABmz, and a luggage car, type Dd2s. The "Arlberg Express" was one of those trains with a memorable name, whose introduction dates back to the era of transcontinental luxury trains. Unlike its siblings, the "Orient and Oostende Express," it traversed all of Austria in a west-east direction. Over time, the train increasingly transformed into an international service with through coaches. In addition to the main route from Vienna to Paris, the train carried numerous through coaches, for example, to the Salzkammergut and from there to Salzburg, where they were detached from the train. There were also through coaches from Vienna to Carinthia and East Tyrol, which were further transported from Schwarzach-St. Veit over the Tauern Railway. Depending on the configuration, it is possible to recreate the train in various setups such as Vienna – Salzburg – Schwarzach St. Veit – Innsbruck – Buchs with the offered sets.
